Bauma is made from wool from the Ripollesa sheep grazing the landscapes of Catalonia. Its structure makes it perfect for any use: stockinette stitch, lace, cables and colourwork alike. It has a dry touch and while it's not soft like very fine merino wool yarns, it doesn't itch. With a lovely stitch definition and a wooly texture, projects knit in Bauma will look good year after year. It blooms beautifully and softens a lot after a first wash. Mulesing is not practised in Spain.
This DK weight yarn is very versatile and lends itself to many different kind of projects with a gauge of around 16-20 sts/10 cm. Here are a few pattern recommendations:
