Fingering weight yarns
Fingering weight yarns or sock yarns are so versatile! Use them to knit everyday socks that are thin enough to fit in your shoes, make light garments you can wear indoors or in warmer climates, or whip up an intricate lace shawl with a beautiful airy design. We love our fingering yarns for colourwork patterns and other projects with a gauge of around 24-32 sts/10 cm.

Yarns are divided into different categories depending on how thick they are, and how many stitches per 10 cm they normally create. A fingering yarn may also be called "sock yarn" and is a fine yarn that often has around 400 m/100 g. Fingering weight yarns give a gauge of around 24-32 sts/10 cm on needles 2-3 mm. They can also be held double or together with lace weight yarns to create a heavier yarn.
