Silk
Silk yarns are produced from the fine threads spun by the silkworm as it builds its cocoon. There are many different types of silk, created by different species of silk moths. The softest, most lustruous silk comes from the Mulberry silk worm, Bombyx mori, which feeds on leaves from the Mulberry tree. Silk is used in knitting yarns to add shine and softness.
