90 Varas is a collection that pays tribute to the rich tradition of transhumance and the Merino sheep, a living symbol of Spain's pastoral heritage. Transhumance is the ancient tradition of moving the sheep between pastures depending on the season.
Transhumance, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2023, connects seasons, landscapes and history through the royal drove roads, ancient paths that still preserve the essence of this sustainable grazing system. Hence the name of this collection, 90 Varas, the traditional measure of the width of these ravines, equivalent to 75 meters. These routes, with a length of more than 125,000 kilometers, cover 1% of Spanish territory and are a living testament to the balance between nature and human activity.
