Monkeybear Essential Zipper Pouch

When I stumbled over the work of Sai of Monkeybear Handwork Studio, I immediately knew that her thoughtful designs and the impressive process behind each piece would be the perfect fit for Elk market yarn. These bags are not only beautiful and well suited to keeping your knitting or other craft project safe and organised - they are also hand sewn in Sai's studio, using hand printed fabrics. 

Each fabric design begins as a sketch and once the pattern is ready, it's transferred to silk screens that are used to hand print the fabrics. Each colour needs to dry before moving on to the next, and the pattern repeat needs to match up across the width of the fabric. After the fabric is finished, the cutting and sewing of the bags begin - truly a work of craftmanship from start to finish!

The Essential zipper pouch is a great little boxy organiser! It's rectangular shape and sturdy construction make it easy to see what's inside and keep your yarns untangled. The metal zipper goes around the lid and ensures your project and accessories are safe inside. The inside of the lid has a webbing pocket for keeping scissors, measuring tapes and other essentials at hand, and the smart handle on top makes the bag easy to carry.

All inks used in Monkeybear items are hand mixed, water based and produced in Sweden.
