Gwlad by Garthenor Organic
Gwlad by Garthenor Organic
Gwlad is a celebration of British wool, and the very first worsted spun yarn ever to be made in Wales, right in Garthenor's own mill in Cardigan. Gwlad means "land" in Welsh, and is spun from three different sheep breeds: Lleyn, Romney and Hebridean. The yarn is undyed and the colours are achieved by mixing black and white wool in different proportions. Each colour is unique in its blend, and you can read more about them here: https://garthenor.com/blogs/blog/gwlad-meet-the-shades
Gwlad is 100% organic, from wool to finished yarn. It's worsted spun into a 3-ply worsted weight, entirely undyed and utterly fantastic. This is yarn with a story.
