Alpaca

Alpacas are camelids and related to the larger llamas, and their soft and warm fleece is a popular addition in knitting yarns. It's generally softer and warmer than sheep's wool, and contains no lanolin, which some people can be allergic to. Alpacas come in different colours and their natural shades are often used to create various expressions on the finished yarn. Sägen Fe is dyed on both a light grey and a white alpaca base, and is also available in a beautiful, deep brown colour.
