Le petit silk & mohair from the French brand Biches & bûches is the finest blend of 30% silk and 70% kid mohair. It's the perfect yarn to hold together with a heavier wool and gives that soft and fuzzy halo we all love. Together with a fingering weight yarn it knits up into airy garments and accessories on needles 3.5-4.5 mm, and with a DK or worsted yarn it's perfect on needles 6 mm. Held doubled on its own, it creates a sheer and transluscent fabric. The mohair comes from South Africa and the suppliers respect international agreements on the well-treatment of the goats.
